The Hunting Chateau

About the place

The classicist chateau stands on the road from Lednice to Janohrad and to Kančí obora about 2 km east of Lednice. The building was used as a hunting lodge with a hunter's apartment on the ground floor and from the terrace it allowed the estate to watch the parfors hunts held on the meadow in front of the lodge. The adjoining octagonal salon, accessible through a French window, provided an occasional shelter for the participants of the hunt to serve refreshments. The monument is now privately owned and not open to the public.
