About the place
The building, today's Lichtenstein House, was built in the 1880s as a Jewish common school. It was part of the Jewish ghetto, which at the time occupied part of the square and some adjacent streets. It was inaugurated in the presence of Prince Wolfgang of Liechtenstein, who became its honorary patron on 23 September of the same year. After the reconstruction of the Liechtenstein House in 2015, there is a Tourist Information Centre on the first floor and an exhibition of the Liechtenstein family on the second floor.
