The defunct Liechtenstein sallet under restoration
About the place
Katzelsdorf Chateau was part of the Lednice-Valtice area. It was built at the beginning of the 19th century. After the Second World War, the state confiscated the property from the Liechtensteins. The building was repaired, but then it was used as accommodation for the gamekeeper. In the mid-20th century it was also used as a warehouse and hayloft. In 1956 it burned down and fell into disrepair. It has been gradually restored in the last few years.
