Artificial castle ruins
About the place
The largest artificial ruin in Europe was designed and built between 1801 and 1802 as a hunting lodge for the Liechtenstein lords. The structure of this seemingly etched stone gives the impression that the castle has stood here for many centuries. The castle also has lounges, which are used by the town of Podivín. Nearby is an important cycling and pedestrian link through the Boar's Game Preserve and also a river boat port to the castle park in Lednice.
