Historically significant building in a quiet part of town
About the place
The Jewish cemetery was probably founded in the second half of the 17th century. Today there are about 300 tombstones, the oldest of which date back to the beginning of the 18th century. Near the entrance, the cemetery is dominated by the majestic tomb of Ignaz Kuffner, the original owner of the Břeclav sugar factory. The whole area is surrounded by a wall of lattice masonry and glazed post-torch shapes. It represents a typical building of the Breclav region.
