About the place

St. Wenceslas Church was built between 1992 and 1995 on the site of a Baroque church destroyed during World War II. The building was designed by the Brno artist Ludvík Kolek. Karel Stádník, on the other hand, interestingly reconciled modern and old sacral art in the interior. Children can play and draw in the children's corner. The church was built thanks to the efforts of the recently deceased priest Josef Ondráček, to whom the people of Břeclav dedicated a memorial in the square.
