About the place
The Old Slavic hillfort from the 9th century is located between the blind arms of the Dyje River and is in close proximity to the Pohansko Chateau. Its name dates back to the New Ages, originally it was called Loventingrad or Laventenburch. During archaeological excavations, various objects were found here - spatulas, metal cauldrons or an urn. There is a reconstructed Great Moravian half-land with a well and a cult object. There is a nature trail describing the history and development of Slavic peoples in the area.
