Welcome to the land of wine, chateaux and fairytale atmosphere
Your guide to the Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape

Basic information
What I Need to Know About
The scenical Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape, often abbreviated as LVA, is located in the lower part of the South Moravian Region. It is directly adjacent to Austria and a little further on to Slovakia. In the promontory between these countries, you will find unique floodplain forests and meadows, and a little further on, around Lednice and Valtice, long wine routes stretch out. Together with Breclav, these villages form a kind of imaginary triangle, in whose forests there are several important small Liechtenstein buildings known as salets. Thanks to these original buildings and its rich history, the Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. When you look at Lednice and Valtice chateaux, you will immediately think of several Czech fairy tales, such as The Dragon's Ring or The Clockmaker's Apprentice.
